FAQ

Here are some of the questions our clients ask about wedding videos:

Will the Filmmaker be obtrusive or interfere with my event?

This is one of the most common concerns. We at Leyla Production have spent many years developing our unique “journalistic” approach.

We capture the moment, not the attention.

What’s great about our style is that we do not have to interfere with the flow of events, or interact with the guests.
We remain virtually invisible, and yet are still able to capture compelling and dynamic footage.

What about those bright lights?
Technology has virtually eliminated the need for annoying camera lights!!! We are able to manipulate ambient and natural light to our advantage,
achieving astounding results.

How long will the finished movie be?
Our years of experience have educated us in such a way that the films we produce are long enough to cover everything that is important, yet not so long that they become a bore to watch.

Are we supposed to sign a contract ?
Yes

I have heard it can take 3 to 6 months for a wedding film, is this true?
We go to great lengths to make sure your wedding film is NOT just clips put to music, but rather a work of art that has a reason for every cut, effect
or clip used. Our clients do not hire us to produce their wedding film because we can deliver it in several weeks, but rather because they know it will
be what they expected or better. It will be a work of art worthy of the term wedding film.

What is raw footage?
Raw footage is the term used to describe the footage of film / video that has NOT been edited or color corrected. It is the footage right out of the
camera. Most raw footage will not only include the moments of the day but also include the moments when a camera is being focused, moved,
or used to setup audio. In many cases the audio will be unusable or non existent do to the configuration of a particular camera. Since these things
go on throughout the day, it is likely that couples will find the raw footage littered with un-watchable moments.

How do you decide what music to use?Typically, we have a few of our favs that just seem to work, and then our clients offer us many choices via our pre-wedding planner worksheet and simply by listening to the music played at the reception so ultimately it ends up being a blend of these different sources.

Can I get more than one copy of my wedding film?
Yes you can! You will typically receive 2 to 3 copies as part of your wedding film and we frequently get asked to duplicate additional copies.

Do we need to provide a meal for the videographer?
If the Videographer is booked on your wedding for 4 hours or longer we ask that you either provide a meal or allow him 30 minutes to go get
something to eat.

How do we book wedding video services for our date? Is it a verbal agreement?

As with the majority of vendors, its best to secure your services as soon as you have a date set for you Wedding. Booking our wedding film services
is on a first come, first served basis. No date is secured until a non refundable Deposit of $300 is made. We do not accept Verbal Agreements.

Do we need to meet with you in person prior to our wedding day?
We would certainly love to meet you in person before your wedding day. However if this is not possible due to location or time restraints,
we can take care of everything over the phone, mail and email.

If I’ve hired a good photographer, why do I need a videographer?
Photographs are an important part of your wedding day. As beautiful as photographs can be, they can only catch glimpses of the subject.
Video, with its combination of motion picture and sound, can preserve your wedding memories as no other medium can. Think about your
favorite television show. Would you rather see a few photos from an episode or watch the actual show? Wouldn’t the same be true for your wedding?
Surveys show that most couples agree that video was the most important investment for preserving their memories.

Why should I have my wedding day professionally Filmed?
Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime experience. After months of careful planning to make your celebration perfect, your special day will fly by
in a heartbeat. Your day is filled with emotion: laughter shared with friends and family as you prepare for your ceremony, eager anticipation as you
walk down the aisle, tears of joy as you say your vows, a loving caress in your first dance, the fun and excitement of your reception. These moments
are full of sights, sounds, and motion! And these memories are what are left after your wedding day is over. A professional wedding videographer will capture emotions as only a moving picture can and preserve them for you to enjoy over and over again and to pass down to future generations.

How should I choose a professional wedding videographer?
Hiring professional vendors for all your wedding needs is a good idea. Professionals will ensure that your day goes smoothly for you and your guests.
This also leaves you free to invite your friends and family to attend the wedding, not to work at your wedding. Besides, if you ask friends and family
to help and something goes wrong, it can lead to hurt feelings, something no one wants! Hiring the right videographer does make a difference.
There are no retakes in a live event. It must be done right the first time. Choose a wedding videographer who is accomplished and dedicated to
outstanding service because it takes more than good equipment to make a great video. It takes talent, vision, and accomplished camera skills.
Also keep in mind that your videographer will be with you throughout your wedding day. Choose someone with whom you feel at ease so that you
can feel confident that he or she will interact well with both you and your guests. The most important element to shop for is the actual videographer,
whose style, creative experience, professionalism and talents are what you really want.
